Jessica, originally from the Bay Area, is currently in her second year at SI. She worked as an editor and writer for both print and online media outlets before coming to Michigan. Jessica's coursework includes: Computer Supported Cooperative Work with Gary Olson, Material Culture with Robert Frost, and Content Management Systems with Mark Ackerman and Paul Resnik. Her work at the School of Information has focused on how technology can enhance existing work processes and facilitate better communication for all types of organizations.

As an audio guide user and avid supporter, Jessica has a personal interest in developing handheld technology to compliment a museum goer's experiences. Rising to the challenge this project presents, Jessica is eager to design a system that will open up conversations in a museum between visitors as they use the device and explore the exhibits.

Interesting tidbits: She has been to over 30 countries yet just went to her first Monster Truck Jam in January.
