Therese recently began her third semester at SI. As a web designer at University of Michigan, she is getting a chance to directly applying the skills and concepts she’s learning at the School of Information on a daily basis. In all of her projects, she's continually focused on optimal usability, intuitive interface design, and effective information architecture.

Before embarking upon the graduate school experience, Therese completed two Bachelor degrees: one in Cultural Anthropology and one in Interactive Multimedia. This combination is an ideal match for endeavors such as the Hands-On Museum’s visitor device creation, where ethnographic considerations are fused with modern interface design and technical savvy. She looks forward to working with her team to design a device to boost interaction between visitors, make the exhibits more accessible, and extend the learning experience.

I prefer design by experts - by people who know what they are doing.
